On July 3, cyclists departed from St. John’s to ride across the island to Port aux Basques as part of Pedal for the Planet, a unique cross-Canada bike rally to encourage individuals and organizations to speak out on climate change and sign a national petition demanding that Canada do its fair share to fight global warming.
