What it is

The Walmart Green Student Challenge (www.sharegreen.ca/student) set out on a mission to find post-secondary students who will change the world with their sustainable business idea.

Five semi-finalists have been selected, and the teams will compete on February 29th for a portion of $100,000 in prizes.

The event will be webcast, live from the heart of Canadian business, from the Toronto Stock Exchange TMX Broadcast Centre. You can register for the webcast now: http://www.sharegreen.ca.

The five semi-finalist teams, from west to east, are:

The five semi-finalist teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of Canada’s top CEOs, and then get grilled by some of the toughest names in business.

Who’s going to take home the top prize in the Walmart Green Student Challenge? Students from University of Calgary, Western, University of Waterloo, York and Cape Breton University will all compete on February 29th.
