At the end of November, the world will gather in Durban, South Africa at COP17, for another round of negotiations for an international climate change agreement. Join us for a discussion on what these negotiations are, why they are important, and why their decisions concern us as Newfoundlanders and Labradorians, youth, or civil society.
Panelists include:
Meghan McCarthy, member of the Canadian Youth Delegation attending COP17
Fred Winsor, Conservation Chair, Sierra Club of Canada – Atlantic Chapter
Bill Hynd, Campaigns Coordinator, Oxfam Canada (St. John’s)
This event is organised by MUN Project Green, the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition and the NLEN.
